Capt. Abdi Billets - Physio

Wayne Gordon

We are incredibly excited to announce WAYNE GORDON as the latest member to join the Best Practice cast, as physiotherapist Capt. Abdi Billets.  I would like to invite everyone to give Wayne a warm welcome to the Best Practice team.  We are all very excited to be working with him on this project.

Wayne is a much-respected established actor, most recently appearing in ANGEL HAS FALLEN, INTO THE BADLANDS and RED 2.  Wayne is also recognised as "Doom" from Series 2 of TV show GLADIATORS and appearing in the James Bond film SKYFALL.

The lifelong athlete Wayne Gordon originated from Kingston, Jamaica. He was born on the 17th of August in 1970. Ten years later, his family moved to England permanently. Growing up, he developed a love for sports, particularly cricket. He competed in Bobsleigh and represented Great Britain for seven years. Before pursuing sports competitively, he served Great Britain in its Armed Forces. While in the Army, he discovered his potential as a competitor. After service, he went into bobsleigh and then after seven years, moved into track and field. His track and field specialties included 400m hurdles and half-marathons.

Wayne's next move would be entering the industry of entertainment. He quickly launched his acting career in 2005 appearing as a cornerman in Russell Crowe's boxing drama Cinderella Man (2005). He also appeared in the Daniel Craig James Bond film Skyfall (2012). 2008 marked the beginning of his training for stunt performances. This yielded him a reservist spot on the secondary roster to the UK revival of Gladiators. While on the reserves list, Wayne was first named "Stealth" before being promoted to the main cast of Series 2 where his stage name evolved into "Doom". After appearing in sixteen episodes of Gladiators, Wayne continued his acting career, with work in RED 2 (2013) and in several more film shorts and television series episodes. When he is not involved in film or television projects, he and former UK Gladiator Jenny Pacey operate personal fitness company Pace & Go where they encourage everyone to become the very best they can be.
